Private Clients

We specialize in Property Law and EU Law. Our professional staff also specialise in more specific areas as Employment Law and Intellectual Property.

Our practice areas are directed at our special expertise and client’s business interest. We frequently work on projects with an international reach and more complex tasks spanning dual jurisdictions.

After Bulgaria’s accession to the EU, business practice in Bulgaria began to incorporate strong elements of EU Law, an area which we have solid experience in. We find that the EU and the judicious use of the EU institutions and procedures can be of help to our clients and, where appropriate, we will advise on the use of such instruments and can provide representation before the Commission if required.

  • Obtaining residence
  • Intellectual Property

We provide legal advice on a wide range of intellectual property rights both at Bulgarian and EU level. For example, we advise individuals on copyright, moral rights and database rights; we also have extensive experience in drafting and filing trade marks applications for use within the territory of the EU. It should be noted that much of our work has some form of an international element to it so we have ample experience in this regard.

We can offer you:

  • Preliminary search for your intended trade mark name
  • Official search requests
  • Full trade mark registration

We advise private individuals on dealing with legal issues arising from ownership of a property in Bulgaria. We have consulted many individual purchasers of off- plan and existing residential and holiday properties. We are also able to offer legal services in conducting due diligence prior acquiring a property and negotiating ongoing maintenance.

Notarial procedures in Bulgaria are very formal and there are numerous specific strict rules that have to be obeyed. In order to facilitate your activity we offer the following services:

  • Drafting power of attorney and attend any notarial procedures on your behalf.
  • Preparation and/ or obtaining of all documents necessary for the procedures that have to be conducted before a notary in public in Bulgaria, namely: transfer and acquisition of real estate rights, sale and purchase of cars, transfer of company shares, signing of powers of attorney, etc.
